Fresh fruits: Fruit juices help in flushing out harmful toxins from the body developed during chicken pox. Citrus fruits are considered to increase the irritation. Hence avoid them.
Water: Drinking lots of water keeps the body well hydrated.
Fresh vegetables: \Vegetables contain vitamins and minerals necessary to reduce the infection. Carrots and coriander are considered to be good during chicken pox attack.
Avoid oily or junk food
Note: To reduce itching, water in which green peas have been cooked or a glass of water in which one spoon baking soda is added can be used to sponge the body to relieve irritation and itching.
